Victoria Drive Relocation Project

Phase 1: November 2019 - January 2020

Phase 2: October 2021 - March 2022

The Victoria Drive Relocation Project included the installation of multiple 3152 manholes, 18-way duct bank as well as a 4,162 manhole in the middle of Victoria Drive and Broadway.

Challenge

Congested utility corridor, old growth trees with massive roots required hydrovac and tight time constraints to get manhole installed, which required closing major intersection rerouting buses and traffic. Excavation required onsite engineering due to depth which exceeded 5 metres.

Solution

Comprehensive preplanning along with site meetings with various stake holders

End Result

Installation was completed on time with minimal disruption to public.
