Company History

Alberto Morgadinho, who would later establish Berto Contractors Ltd, began his career working in underground utility construction.

He developed a practical understanding of the industry from the inside out. Alberto found success through his determination to take pride in everything he did, working always with integrity. He became known for his dedication, business ethic and quality workmanship.

In 1994 Alberto started a company of his own. One built on the values and experience he had developed working in the industry. The company began as a small family business, but through hard work, perseverance and commitment to its founding values, it has grown to a company of 30 employees, greatly expanding its services and products. Today, BERTO has established itself as a staple in British Columbia civil underground construction. Our first major customer was TELUS Communications – after 25 years of business, we are proud to say our working relationship with TELUS is as strong as ever.

Though we have grown, we remain a family company at heart. Regretfully, Alberto is no longer with us, but we are committed to continuing his legacy of dedication and excellence.
